Acute Kidney Injury in Crush Syndrome and Renal Disaster-Experience in Bangladesh after garment factory collapse

Background: Crush-syndrome usually resulting from earthquake and other natural disaster causes mortality morbidity. A multistoried garment factory collapsed in Savar, Dhaka, Bangladesh on 24th April 2013 with about 4000 workers. Among the rescued victims, many of them develop crush – syndrome AKI that led to a man-made renal Bangladesh. We analyzed outcome severe patient who required replacement therapy.
 Methods: Victims accident site were first treated primarily local hospital primary care center. Suspected patients rapidly transferred tertiary for dialysis ICU support. collect data by standard questionnairebased onrenal relief force questionnaire.
 Results: had experienced after 3500 workers which created manmade disaster. observed 27 due Rana plaza mean age 25.12 years, most female (51.85%). as early possible, average rescue time was 20.30 hours, 62.96% developed compartment fasciotomy. All got treatment; some all, 67% recovered completely 26% died. Main death infection DIC MOF.
 Conclusions: Crush injury victims AKI, dialysis. Severe high Early intervention prevent complications may reduce morbidity.
